think. One day you can say... " I read the authors rough draft" a sneak preview
of a great novel by S A Gibbins
Venture into
the world of Sam Gebben. Weave through the web of his wierd journey into a world
that many some what believe in buty never have had the reality of. A place where
the mysterious happening of our Native American brothers and sisters lived.
Where the beliefs and myths are shared. And where the past heritage of ones who
are part Native American, now can begin to see another part of truth that is
from times past. Things which we heard of but not totally were sure are
real.
Step into the life of Sam, and follow
him on this strange, weird and even wonderful journey back into time and forward
into the future. This is the place
called, " OAK ORCHARD"
Enjoy !!!

WELCOME :
Its my pleasure to invite you into my den and show you around a bit. As I build this site I want you feel at home and drop me a line or two an let me know what your working on in your writing career. You can never be too old or young to start writing. Let me now take some time to let you know a bit about me.
I was born in Pennsylvania in 1950. Yes I know that makes me an old fart as they say. But hey, you are as young as you feel and some days I feel my oats like a young Bear. You will find that I have a fondness for bears and have had the pleasure some years back of holding a full grown black bear in my arms, dancing around with him and rubbing his head.
Looking back at life I have done quite a bit of things come to think of it. More then most I believe. I believe that in life we all go through good times as well as bad. We can grow from the bad experiences and savor the good moments in life. Always look at the bad and find something valuable to learn from the experience. There is always something positive in all that seems negative.
I grew up in Pennsylvania, went to school and graduated from Ridley Twp. H.S. in 1969. I have had so many different and interesting jobs it isn't funny. I have been to name a few, a structural steel draftsman, a psychiatric aide, an auto mechanic, a musician, singer and songwriter. I have been a minister and gave hour long sermons. I have been a hunter and avid fisherman and have caught many citation trophy fish as well as a 12 point buck. I no longer hunt but have taken some breathtaking photos over the years including a pure white buck in velvet. When I say pure white I mean there is not a spot of any other color on him. I have photographed two albino turkey chicks in the wild also. Hand fed wild animals and have been up close to a pack of wolves not more then 30 feet away.
My love now is writing and started 3 years ago posting on Writing.com. This site is one of the top 4 in the world according to Writer's Digest Magazine and during my 3 years, I have written my first Novel, several children's stories and have been published 5 times as a freelance writer. I might add that I was published the very first time I submitted an article and got paid for it. Want to know how I did it? I tried. I had a desire and with a little direction from an accomplished writer, I put forth the effort and got results the first time out.
I may sound like I am bragging but the reality of this all is this. I am no different then anyone else. I grew up lacking self confidence and never felt like what I did would amount to anything. The only difference was this. My father, who was the son of a sharecropper always told me, " son, no matter what you do in life, remember you can do anything as long as you put your mind to it. " His words never failed me. Anything is possible if you try hard enough.
I designed and built my own home back in 1989. In fact I drew the blueprints myself and ran the job start to finish. I built a company from nothing. Not a penny did I ever borrow, nor did I advertise. It was built on a good reputation and word of mouth.
So here we are. I could go on and on, ad nauseam, but let's leave it at that. Look back on your own life and see all the good things. I could list a lot of bad too here that I am not proud of, but the point is dwell on the positive, learn from the negative in life.
I would also like you to know that I am part Native American, Blackfoot, and proud of my heritage. I would love to hear from more of my brothers and sisters from any nation !!!
Enjoy my writing and I will look forward to hearing from you also. S A Gibbins or Steve if you prefer.
